| When considering upgrades for the
SA-7S1 our approach was to pave a way to improve the player, removing the
weaknesses outlined and maintain all of its finest attributes. A tall order you
might say, but we with the right choice of product we knew that this was
achievable. Experience has taught us that the quality of power supplies and
master clock system in a digital product dictate sound quality. The angle we
decided was to reduce system noise on both the input AC side, lower voltage AC
outputs of the transformer on the digital & analogue supplies, provide an
internal state-of-the-art reference master clock with matching power supply, and
improve the quality of signal at the analogue output. With this approach we have
been able to achieve high levels of improvements whilst maintain balance and
synergy of sound. Please note that
Ultraclock outputs the required 67.7376 MHz precisely and does not
use a 33.8688 MHz clock with a multiplier (clock doubling) like other upgrade
companies. A clock multiplier = higher noise and higher
jitter.
