| What you will get with the SA-8003 player in effect
is a ‘KI’ style upgrade of the SA-8001. Out goes the 8001’s frame transformer in
favour of a custom toridial type, Copper shielding on the digital output
circuitry, upgraded analogue stage capacitors to Elna SILMIC II. All in all,
very worthwhile upgrades and deserving of the £200
premium.
Taking Marantz players to bigger and better places
sonically is something we have grown very accustomed too. So our
upgrades for the SA7001KI are brought up to date for the SA-8001 & SA-8003
models. For the 8003 we have two levels of upgrades’ level-1 which reduces
jitter, improves regulated power supplies, reduces system power supply noise.
Level-2 installs all the upgrades used for level-1 with further
stages of upgrades which include OS-CON SEPC digital decoupling, Bybee
Slipstream purifiers, WBT NextGen connectors.
