| Mark,
Yes the sound has opened out a little over the last week and generally eased.
I am really pleased with what I am hearing, listening to an Andy Shepherd
album last night his sax was sounding superb (having seen him play live only a
few weeks ago - the same band playing tracks from his latest album) whilst I did
not think this was poor before - far from it, the level of palpability has moved
on. I genuinely do not think I have heard anything like that sound better on
digital replay and it was on a level with very good vinyl replay. The sound is
across the board silky smooth, again like analogue, is very sweet and extended
at the top end and tight and tuneful in the bass.
As mentioned earlier solo instruments and vocals are exceptional and I can
honestly put my hand on my heart and say (as a long time vinyl man who
repeatedly experienced not being able to settle in for long sessions on CD
replay) that I could listen to this for as long as vinyl.
Nice job - well done!
